Safety sequence

Production is the last step

The same operating discipline applies across all platforms.

01

Configure

Enter private Tautulli, SMTP, branding, and schedule values locally.

02

Verify

Check runtime, storage, network, API, and mail settings.

03

Preview

Generate six deterministic HTML states without sending mail.

04

TestEmail

Validate real MIME and client rendering with a controlled recipient.

05

Schedule

Enable automatic delivery only after roster and exclusion review.

System map

Small surface, explicit boundaries

Tautulli is the primary data source; direct Plex access is optional. Credentials and state remain local to the operator.

TautWeekly for Plex data flow from Tautulli and optional Plex through the renderer to preview and SMTP delivery
!
Credential boundary

Runtime data is never source data.

Live configuration contains an SMTP credential and Tautulli API key, and may contain a Plex token. State, logs, previews, and backups may reveal recipients and server activity. Weekly Binge Champion cards share only anonymous movie/TV play counts and total watch time; the champion's identity and titles remain private.

Read the hardening guide
  • Never commit live config or `.env`
  • Keep port 8787 private
  • Binge Champion identity stays private
  • Use application passwords
  • Rotate exposed credentials
